Published in full, because a score you cannot check is just an opinion with a number on it.
The Scan reads what is publicly visible about your business, scores four vital signs out of 100, and gives that number a verdict. Below is exactly what it looks at, what each part is worth, and just as importantly what it cannot see. Nothing here is proprietary. If you want to run the checks yourself and skip us entirely, this page is enough to do it.
The four vital signs
Can people find you at all?
Whether your site is reachable and readable by Google, whether your Google Business Profile exists and is active, and whether the page titles say what you do and where.
What happens when they try to reach you?
How fast a new enquiry gets a reply, how many calls go to voicemail, and whether someone can actually book without speaking to a human first. This is usually where the money is.
Do they trust you, and do they come back?
Review volume and whether you ask for them systematically, profile photos, visible proof on the site, and basic trust signals like HTTPS.
How much of this runs without you?
Whether anything reaches your market when you are not pushing it, and how many hours a week the admin takes off the owner.
The verdict
| Rating | Band | What it says |
|---|---|---|
| 90 to 100 | Built to last | The fundamentals are covered. The work now is staying ahead rather than catching up. |
| 70 to 89 | Healthy | Running well with specific gaps. Usually one or two fixes move this into the top band. |
| 40 to 69 | At risk | Something load bearing is missing. Normally enquiries arriving and nobody catching them. |
| 0 to 39 | Critical | Multiple vitals are failing at once. The business is likely being carried by the owner personally. |
The limits
Two vitals are missing on purpose. Connection asks whether your systems are wired into one thing or sitting as separate pillars, and Immunity asks how ready you are for where your market goes by 2030. Neither can be read from outside your business, so the free Scan does not guess at them. They come in the Blueprint, where we have access.
A check we cannot run scores nothing, not zero. If something is unreachable we mark it unverified. It carries no points and, importantly, no maximum either, so it cannot drag your number down. Plenty of scoring tools quietly fail you for things they could not measure. This one does not.
If too much is unverified, the top band is withheld. When four or more checks come back unverified the Rating is capped at 89, which means "Built to last" is off the table for that run. We are not going to hand out the best verdict on a partial reading.
The money figure is an estimate and is labelled as one. It uses industry averages for close rate, job value and enquiry volume alongside your own answers. It is deliberately conservative. It is a prompt to go and check your real numbers, not a claim about them.
FAQ
No, and the weights above are why you can check that. A business with a reachable site, an active Google profile, fast replies and a review habit scores in the top band and the report says so. If the Scan tells you that, the honest next step is to keep doing what you are doing.
Because being found is worthless if nobody answers. Thirty and thirty reflects what we see most often: businesses that pay for visibility and then lose the enquiry it generates. Circulation and Autonomy matter but compound more slowly, which is why they are twenty each.
Yes. Everything in the four cards above is checkable by hand, and the weights are published. The Scan is faster and removes the flattery you apply to your own business, but there is nothing here you could not do with an afternoon.
The Scan needs your business name and website to run the checks. If you ask for the written report we take an email to send it to. You can ask us to delete any of it at any time.
Rarely, and this page is updated when it does. It is generated from the same model the Scan runs on, so it cannot quietly drift out of date.
